COMPANION YELLOW GROUND MOTHER AND CHILD EUROPEAN SCENE QIANLONG MARK SNUFF BOTTLES
Chinese, late 19th to mid-20th century, enamel on copper. An early to mid-20th century bottle with alternating, striped neck above stippled background panels depicting mothers and children with florals, the underside having a four-character mark in blue with a later, painted and non-original stopper. The second bottle a late 19th/ early 20th century, yellow-grounded bottle of quatrefoil panels painted in European influence with scenes of mother and child in landscape and next to vase and basket of florals; copper foot rim to underside with four character Qianlong mark in underglaze blue; original enameled stopper.
Both bottles: 2 7/8 in. (7.30 cm.), with stoppers: 3 1/4 in. (8.26 cm.); total 132 grams
