4.25" x 6.5". Cabinet card by Elmer Chickering of Boston, Massachusetts. Obverse marked in pencil "20 years/ago/(?). Verso marked in pencil "Nelson Miles/wearing Medal of Honor". Depicting Miles in full dress uniform, wearing the Medal of Honor he was awarded for his actions at the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1862, when we has severely wounded commanding the 61st New York Infantry as they covered the retreat of the Federal Army. **Very good condition. Some minor handling wear to corners and edges. Some old foxing present.** $150-$300
