The Little Whirlwind Mickey and Minnie Mouse Limited Edition Cel #636 of 950 (Walt Disney, 1988).  In 1988, Walt Disney Company released a two cel suite to commemorate Mickey's 60th birthday. This is one of the two hand-painted cels for this momentous occasion. (Look for the matching numbered mate in this same auction!) The vaulted Disney Ink and Paint Department hand-painted a 16 field cel of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse that was taken from Scene 12 from this 1940 theatrical short. The full figure Mickey stands 5.5" tall in the image. At the time of the initial release this 60th Birthday Edition was a complete sellout! There is a Disney seal on the lower right of the cel.
