Bruce Lee Signed 5"x7" Technical Training Photograph - This black and white photograph shows Bruce Lee illustrating his fighting method with student Ted Wong, performing a back fist technique. Bruce Lee signed "Bruce" in the bottom right and also has written "Technical Training/ back fist with slapping and grasping hand." The back of the photo has "LeAD/No cap", "280" and "290" handwritten by an unidentified person. The photograph was given to Bruce Lee's friend and mentee, Taky Kimura, was originally intended for the "Fighting Method" book series Lee was developing at the time of his death. Bruce Lee is widely considered by commentators, critics, media, and other martial artists to be one of the most influential martial artists of all time and a pop culture icon of the 20th century. He is often credited with helping to change the way Asians were presented in American films, and elevating the traditional Hong Kong martial arts film to a new level of popularity and acclaim, sparking a surge of interest in Chinese martial arts in the West in the 1970s. The direction and tone of his films dramatically changed and influenced martial arts and martial arts films in the US, Hong Kong, and the rest of the world. Lee was named by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. This July will mark the 50th anniversary of Bruce Lee's passing.
