Description
Consisting of a George II sterling silver toddy ladle with a turned fruitwood handle, bearing London hallmarks with date letter for 1745 and obscured maker's marks, possibly for David Clayton, measuring 14" long, together with a Georgian sterling silver soup ladle in the "Fiddle" pattern bearing Edinburgh hallmarks with date letter for 1820 & maker's marks for Charles Dalgleish, measuring 13.75" long, lastly a pair of Victorian sterling silver asparagus tongs bearing London hallmarks with date letter for 1839 & maker's marks for Mary Chawner, measuring 10.5" long. Combined weight (including toddy ladle wood handle) 518 grams or 16.65 troy ounces.
