American Silver Teapot and Covered Sugar,
New York, mid 19th century, James Thomson, maker, both of urn form with domed lids surmounted by greyhound finials, bodies with flared repousse rims above floral repousse bands, each with two c-scroll cartouches, one cartouche bearing a monogram, scrolled acanthus cap handles, on stepped pedestal feet, teapot ht. 12 1/4, covered sugar ht. 10 7/8 in., approx. 66.6 total troy oz .

Condition
Good condition. Sugar with dent to interior lid, rests slightly crooked. Cartouches appear to have been re-monogrammed, though the ground is still firm.
