Two Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Majolica Pierced 'Fresco Head' Series Plates
Designed by Henry Hope Crealock, impressed date code EWF for 1877
Each transfer-printed and hand enriched in shades of yellow, green, blue, gray and brown within a reticulated trellis loop 'Louis XV' border, including: 'Fox Head' and 'Tiger Head', uppercase marks and letters. Diameter 9 1/8 inches.
Lieutenant-General Henry Hope Crealock (31 March 1831-31 May 1891) was a British soldier, artist, and author.
