The lot features a rare early salesman collection of 172 fly fishing flies in a salesman briefcase. The briefcase shows a faux black leather all over with silver colored metal components. On the front of the briefcase, it shows two locking components and a black plastic handle. On the inside it shows two removable, white wooden trays that are filled with fly rod flies. The set is from a Montana Historic collection and is thought to have been from a Montana Fly Fishing Guide Shop from the 20th Century. All of the flies show different colors and designs and are separated by standard flies, dry flies, and hair flies. On the top of the inside of the briefcase, it shows a ripped sticker, most likely the makers mark and a description of the briefcase and its contents. Some of the style of flies included in this briefcase are: Hopper Yellow, Renegade, King of Waters, Black Ant, Barby and Muddler Minnow to name a few. The briefcase shows good condition for its vintage age with some wear, slight scuffing, and some staining throughout. All of the flies appear to be in good, working condition with no signs of damage. The briefcase measures 11 3/4" L x 18" W x 3 3/4" H.
