Description
Walter Addison, New York, 1914-1982. Grouping of 3 mid century modern table lamps created by Walter Addison, all unused, and in very good condition. Includes a hand painted terra cotta lamp decorated with 1 squirrel chasing another squirrel - measures 21"H - pre-wired; a hand painted lamp decorated with wild horses, drilled but not wired - signed above drilled hole "K + A" - measures 12"H; and a shaped stoneware lamp, drilled but not wired - very good condition - measures 15"H. Provenance: Consigned by family. All artwork was found in his cottage in Washington Depot, Connecticut, on the banks of the Shepaug River, where he lived with his wife Rhoda from 1965 until his death in 1982.
