Bound in early full calf expertly rebacked, with original marbled endpapers retained. ************** This work was completed by Fox during the last years of his life, and it includes a lengthy preface by William Penn, who supervised the publication of this work shortly after the death of Fox. Penn's preface was also issued separately as "A brief account of the rise and progress of the people called Quakers." ESTC T61208. ** Front pastedown with 3 engraved armorial bookplates, including those of Robert Henley, William Osgood, and Mirehouse.
Condition
Boards with some restored scuffs. Contents are clean and bright throughout, one leaf with old paper repair obscuring a few words, else a very nice copy, Very Good.
