Description
European, Italian or Spanish, in the 16th C. style but probably circa 1800-1890's. Fine medieval style sword with tapered straight blade that is pointed and intended primarily for thrusting. Pommel is a bulbous and carved hexagonal pattern, grip in replaced ebony leather, crossguard with flat downturned quillion and a ring guard to the front side all incised with raised roping, blade is diamond cross section double edged and tappers quickly to strong point. Size 45 1/2" L, blade 37 1/4" L
