North America; South Africa; Madagascar, ca. millions of years ago. This is a fine collection of 6 natural mineral and crystalline formations that include, quartz, celestite, and pyrite formations. The 2 larger clusters with light blue structures protruding from the top are celestite or celestine, a mineral made up of strontium sulfate. The large cluster of white crystals upon a gray stone is Anandalite quartz. The next is a lovely pale purple or amethystine quartz, a special pyramidal formation known as "cactus amethyst" found only in South Africa. The pink rose quartz is positioned atop a plaster base that has been enhanced with multicolored stones imbedded into the surface. The last mineral formation are 2 large quartz crystals with red iron oxide inclusions upon a matrix of pyrite. Size (larger celestite): 6.5" L x 3" W x 4.5" H (16.5 cm x 7.6 cm x 11.4 cm)

Condition
All are professionally prepared. The rose quartz is adhered to a plaster base covered with other stones. The cactus amethyst is mounted on an acrylic base. The other formations are freestanding. Some flaking to the celestite matrices.
