Description
RUSSIAN 0.875 SILVER SERVING TRAY, large rectangular well with undulating edges and scalloped corners, one side edge engraved "Cleobule" and "1860. ans.", each end with a D-form handle with acanthus leaf terminals. Impressed to base with maker's mark for the firm of Ivan Semenovich Gubkin, a Moscow city mark, an "84" zolotniki for 0.875 silver fineness, and an assayer's mark for Ivan Vasilyevich Avdeyev/Avdeev (active 1852-1862) above an "1860" date mark, additional "84" zolitniki impressed to edge of rim. Total weight: 130.2 ozt. Circa 1860. 31 1/4" LOA, 26 1/2" x 20" OA rim.Â

Condition
Very good overall condition with minor wear, minor to moderate surface scratches and nicks, a few scattered dents mostly minor/small in nature.
