A Queen Anne walnut high chest Probably Pennsylvania, 18th century
(H: 68 1/4 in. W: 41 1/4 in. D: 23 1/2 in.)
In two parts, the upper section with flat molded cornice, over three short drawers over two short drawers over three graduated drawers, the lower section with waist molding, over three short drawers over two short drawers, with shaped apron, on cabriole legs terminating in square drake feet.

Provenance
Property of a Mid-Atlantic Institution.
Condition
with old crackled varnished surface; several patches to drawer face corners or edges; a few broken / detached wood pieces from cornice and drawer face corners (pieces present); left-facing side knee returns detached (but present); plug to burl on right-facing side; minor occasional age cracks commensurate with age; brasses old if not original (installed in original screw holes)
