This piece depicts; In the center on a platform, Satan dressed with a strong overweight in monarch face Mephistopheles dressed as a bishop , seated behind a large book. Full text: "Scène diabolique. | Les diables nous parodient : ils font une chambre des députés et une chambre des pairs, ils jurent comme nous, ils | tiennent leurs sermens comme nous. Satan fait le monarque; Mephistophélès fait l'évêque, l'ambassadeur, l'apostat, | et le protocoliseur. La foule siffle ou applaudit...c'est comme chez nous!"
