(Disney, 1940) An extremely rare animators maquette of Figaro from Disney’s 1940 feature film, "Pinocchio." Maquettes such as this were used by animators as a three-dimensional reference while animating characters. Constructed of plaster and hand-painted in the Character Model Department of the studio, only a handful would be produced and distributed among the animators, with each one numbered on the bottom. The maquette stands 4.5" tall and is 3.5" wide and is in fine condition with some yellowing to the paint. The studio stamp and the number "6" are on the underside of the base.
