Version with Light Green Finish. Made by J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Connecticut - Early 1880's. This is one of the most colorful and animated mechanical toy banks ever devised. Coins placed between the mule's hind legs are deposited when the operating button is pushed. As the mule flips over and into the barn, a small dog runs out from beneath the floorboards.
