Typed six-page document details the capture and sinking of the British Yeoman by German raiders during World War I. Signed by Capt. H.C. Nielsön. Pages housed in a common frame.

Built in 1880 by Oswald, Mordaunt and Co. Southampton, the iron barque British Yeoman, 1953 tons, was owned by British Shipowners Ltd. In Liverpool circa 1900, she briefly became the Italian ship Stefano Razeto until she was acquired by the British Yeoman Ship Co. Ltd circa 1909 and regained her original name. On February 26, 1917, she was captured and sunk by the German commerce raider Seeadler commanded by Felix Von Luckner.

The first page is in very good condition, the other pages the type has faded significantly but still legible, Captain's signature still strong. Minor losses to the left edge of the last page, all pages toned from age. Not examined out of frame.
