Description
Group of Thirteen Pieces of French Copper Cookware, 20th c., consisting of five graduated saucepans with brass handles; two circular pans with brass handles; a brass and copper kettle on stand; and five utensils with brass handles- a ladle, a spoon, a large meat fork, a perforated spatula and a spatula, Largest Saucepan- H.- 6 3/4 in., W.- 14 7/8 in., D.- 8 in. (13 Pcs.).
Condition
Condition is consistent with age and use. The kettle diameter is 7 ½ inches. It seems like there is some tape adhered to the base and oxidation to the metal (outside and inside). The spout seemed to be clogged and there is a cloth in the bottom compartment. The right tong of the meat fork is bent. All pieces are slightly oxidized, sometimes concentrated in one spot. It seems they would all benefit from a cleaning. They’re all structurally sound upon inspection. “TOURAUS FRANCE” is stamped into base of all handles. Handsome set.
