31: A Nice Larger Chancay Pottery Kero
Pre-Columbian, from Lima, Peru, Ca 1000 to 1400 CE. Tall pottery kero (drinking vessel) of cylindrical form with small flared foot decorated with applied figure on the rim small loop for suspension on opposite side. Entire vessel decorated with added tan and brown slip with geometric and abstract fish-like images. 9 -1/4"H x 3-1/2"D.
Provenance: Ex Private CA collection purchased in Lima, Peru in 1954.
