Charles I West Country Sterling Silver Apostle Spoon
hallmarked Exeter, dated 1625, by Edward Anthony (1591-1666/7), depicting St. James the Lesser, the reverse with pricked monogram and date "IB/HW/1625".

Condition
In quite good condition with no issues noted beyond the expected patina and scattered tiny nicks commensurate with age. Visible lap construction of the finial, with some wear to the details of St. James. Engraving worn but legible. Marked in the bowl with the Exeter crowned "X" with two pellets and on the handle reverse with the conjoined "EA" maker's mark of Edward Anthony. All marks with some light wear at the edges but otherwise crisp and clean.
