Description
A Charles I silver-gilt Apostle spoon, the fig shaped bowl with slightly tapering stem and Apostle terminal. Hallmarked Benjamin Yates, London 1633. Length measuring 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm), weight 1.8 ozt (57 grams).
Condition
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Wear to striking edge. Joint to terminal visible. Nimbus top engraved ?P. Gilding worn to parts. Hallmarks somewhat rubbed but legible.
