Description
Japanese tanto sword, dating from the late Edo period, forged by 11th generation Kanesada, a swordsmith from one of the great lineages of blacksmiths in the Mino region, which date back to the 16th century. This swordsmith forged the blade of the famous Hijikata Toshizo, that ruled the dangerous Shinsengumi brigade in Kyoto, supporting the shogun, during the bakumatsu war. With NBTHK authentication documents, for both the blade and the beautiful koshirae that comes with the blade.
