Forty-eight page inked manuscript legal document dealing with the will of Charles Graves of Frederick Virginia, who died in 1823 signed by Daniel Lee, Clerk of Courts and Judge Henry L. George Becker, 30 August 1828 with embossed seal of Winchester Court of Chancery. This document lists all twelve children and their spouses who where heirs of Charles, details the estate expenses from 1815-1827. Charles Graves was a large land holder in Frederick, Virginia as well as a slave owner and this document deals with the will and real and personal property, 8 ½ x 12 ½” bound with silk ribbon. Condition normal folds, VG.
