Illustrated with U.S. spread winged shield breasted egle surmount promoting Ambose M. Barber to Sergt. on 1st day of November, 1863, signed by Major John R. Tappen then commander of the 120 Regiment at Brandy Station, 120 N.Y.V. Infantry. Barber was later promoted to Sergt. Major, 2nd Lieut. & finally Capt. in Jan. of 1864. Tappen ended the war as Lt. Colonel of 120st N.Y.V. Infantry. Condition even toning and minor margin stains, VG.
