White, many letters regarding other post war issues, 11 civil war era promissory notes, 5 unused patriotic covers, 1723 & 1743 Massachusetts & Rhode Island land conveyance documents, an 1804 letter re: the HMS Triumph from an impressed sailor to his brother seeking proof of US citizenship, an 1855 Evansville & Cleveland Straight Line Railroad letter, a signed note by artist Albert Opert, letters and communications regarding military affairs, John E. Boos related documents including one from George A. Brotherton and another from Preston Bailhache (signed) to Boos regarding their civil war Lincoln experiences, an 1826 deed for a S. Brunswick, NJ Griggs family and other period legal documents, an 1889 multi-page composition written by Israel Parsons titled ?Abolition of Slavery?, book plates, several period Valentines and poems, commercial/business letters and other documents referencing inventory, colleges, hotels, railroads, and trucking, receipts for services, business circulars, job offers, many family communications, attorney letters, many medical and health related letters, an 1857 letter regarding spiritualism and communication with the dead, etc.

The letters in varying sizes, some in multiple pages, some accompanied by its original transmittal cover, varied subject matter, binders measure approx. 12.5x10in., in generally good condition with expected wear and varying degrees of issues given age and use.

Provenance: Part of a civil war collection of a Sullivan County, NY gentleman 90 years young. The collection spans 50 years and was acquired from shows, dealers and private collections throughout the east coast and Midwest.
