SA dagger approx. 9 in. blade, 13 in. long overall, with brown wood grips inlaid on one side with a nickel silver national eagle and a ‘button’ insignia of the SA. Solid nickel-silver cross guard, and brown anodized scabbard. The blade is deeply etched with the motto of the organization: ‘Alles fur Deutschland’ (‘All for Germany’), and is maker marked ‘F. HERDER A.S. SOLINGEN’ on the ricasso. Notable pitting all throughout the blade. The scabbard has been repainted, likely period paint, bears a few areas of wear to the finish. A few minor dings to the hardwood grip, but the enameled SA rune button and national eagle fit well and remain in fine condition. Overall, quite good.
