Chinese Yuan Dynasty Xuande Blue and White Porcelain Plate. The plate has a broad wide central interior, rounded mouth lip, thick and large, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color depicted of five claws imperial dragon soaring amidst flames, vapors, chasing blazing pearl amidst scrolling cumulus clouds, with face toward the heavens. Blue and white porcelain in Chinese it is called Qing Hua Ci. It is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Yuan Dynasty.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayfish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.

Over all in EXCELLENT Condition. Natural imperfection on the medium (porcelain), regardless from any major damages; includes minor scratches. Consider normal due to the ages.
