A CHINESE BLACK POTTERY JAR, NEOLITHIC PERIOD

China, 3rd to 2nd millennium BC. The compressed globular body rising from a flat foot to a neck carved with two circular bands of triangles and lipped rim. With a recent padded silk storage box.

Condition: Presenting well, with expected wear and traces of use and age. Some repair, filling and touchups as generally expected from authentic excavations.
Provenance: Notable collection, New York.
