Hand-pressed paper mache shoulder head, rich black complexion with sculpted black hair in very tight curls, molded heavy black brows, inset brown glass eyes with black eyeliner, closed mouth with very full downcast lips, brown muslin torso and upper legs, brown composition lower limbs, wearing white cotton dress. Commentary: Attributed to Leo Moss, circa 1920, rare folk artist doll depicting a child which is older than those more often found with tears.
