WESTERN VIRGINIA PAINTED POPLAR AND PINE PUNCHED-TIN-PANELED FOOD / PIE SAFE, rectangular top over two short dovetailed drawers and two hinged doors, each set with two hand-punched tins featuring leaves and stars, raised on turned legs, sides set with two hand-punched tins with same design. Retains an old crackled white paint over the original green-painted surface. Discovered in Highland Co., Virginia. Mid 19th century. 47" H, 43" W, 18" D.Â
