Provenance: Made for a wedding that took place in 1873, thence worn by great-great granddaughter of original recipient, for her wedding in "Wee Church in the Heather," Glendale, CA, and her daugher-in-law, Barbara Lynn Palatina to Stephen Edward Hicks, August 21, 1962, with photographs of the last two named in the ensemble included with the lot. The original wreath-like headdress then changed to incorporate parts of the bodice hem into a cap, and sewed with gauze for the veil. Condition: Overall, the condition is good.
