It is a pen of good size and thickness, made of dark navy blue marbled resin with white lines and a very attractive iridescent effect. At the time it was a novel material that we have seen much later in other models, but at the time it was almost unheard of.
The Eclisse is a large pen, although the lightness of the materials of which it is composed and the absence of interior mechanisms beyond the converter make it a lightweight specimen. The most remarkable thing, in aesthetic terms, is its great width, as it has a wide and generous body, which the hand must grip decisively but which, like all pens of this type, is very comfortable as it allows a large number of grips that can be adapted to any form of writing.
The system is perfectly designed so that, when the two elements are adjusted with the last turn of the thread, they are perfectly aligned. This very curious solution is, as far as I can tell, totally original in the history of the fountain pen and has never been repeated. Incidentally, it works in the same way when the cap is placed on the upper part of the barrel, which is fitted with a special thread that, as can be seen, is also not centred in relation to the axis of the element.
