Apple & Wren Teapot c.1875 modelled as a large apple with a wren forming the knop on the cover peering down at a fly on the side of the body, branches forming the spout, handle and support below, 5"h, 6 1/2w. Joseph Holdcroft produced several majolica teapots and of those teapots, the ?Apple & Wren? design would be the hardest to find and the most sought after by teapot collectors.
