Description
East Asia, China, Warring States period, ca. 475 to 221 BCE. A quite large squat storage vessel of a globular form comprised of buff gray pottery with impressed designs covering the midsection of the body in 2 horizontal bands. The vessel exhibits a planar base, an apple-shaped body with a slightly protruding midsection, a tapered shoulder, and a thick, flared rim on top. Size: 13.9" W x 12.875" H (35.3 cm x 32.7 cm)

Light abrasions and nicks, with minor softening to some patterned decorations along exterior, and scattered earthen deposits, otherwise intact and excellent. Great preservation to patterned decorations across exterior and gray coloration throughout.
