Description
American Colonial Revival Mahogany Tall Case Clock, Charles Korfhage, Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York, Circa 1890. The broken arch pediment centering a tall urn flanked by urn and spire finials, above the frieze applied with be-ribboned laurel leaf swags, the astragal-glazed door flanked by turned free-standing columns, opening to a brass floral and foliate-engraved clock face with Arabic numeral chapter ring and subsidiary seconds dial, painted lunar dial with landscapes and two world maps, the waisted case centering a serpentine-shaped glass panel and applied with flowers and scrolls, panelled sides, over the plinth base applied with a vase issuing matching swags and surrounded by a spool border. H: 99.5 in., W: 23 in., D: 15 in.
