Capt. Nathan Barrett Document, Concord, Massachusetts, 1775. Written "To Corporal Silas Mann," and requiring him to appear on Monday January 19th, at 1:00 in the afternoon for a training day in Concord, Massachusetts, signed "Concord January 07, 1775, Nathan Barrett Capt.," (3.75 x 7.5 inches). Frame: H: 4.75 in., W: 8.25 in., D: .5 in. Silas Mann was born in Rutland, Worcester, Massachusetts October 12, 1746, and died in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts in 1795. Nathan Barrett was born May 17, 1763 in Concord, Middlesex, Massachusetts and died there February 4, 1829. He was the son of Lt. Col. Nathan Barrett (1735-1791) and Miriam Hunt (1741-1824). Lt. Col. Barrett fought at the Old North Bridge when the "Shot 'heard round the world" was fired to start the American Revolution.
