Two Nathan Bedford Forrest CDV Photographs. (1) Rare early CDV of Nathan Bedford Forrest. This photograph was purchased directly from the Forrest family in Memphis, Tennessee. Verso of photograph is inscribed in ink, "Nathan B. Forrest," with some much later notations in pencil. This photograph was property of the Estate of Dr. Ronald Terhune, Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Terhune stated to family that this photograph came from the Forrest family. Measures: 2 3/8" X 4". (1) Forrest CDV of the Lieut. General in uniform. CDV is inscribed Genl. N.B. Forrest C.S.A. on verso. Verso imprint: "E & HT Anthony, New York, New York." The photo measures 2 3/8" X 4". Condition- The early CDV has toning, some corner losses and stains to verso.
