Description
Ancient Greece, Hellenistic Period, ca. 4th to late 3rd century BCE. A mold-formed terracotta figure depicting a mother holding her child. The maternal figure wears a pleated skirt and a chiton, a V-shaped neck line, and a veil draped across her brow. Her child, perhaps 1 to 2 years old, is held in the mother's arms with his head leaning gently atop her shoulder. Size: 2.625" W x 6" H (6.7 cm x 15.2 cm)

Condition
Minor abrasions, with chip to proper left arm of mother, and softening to some finer details, otherwise in very good condition. Nice preservation to recognizable figural forms.
