Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya, Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A set of 3 pottery artifacts from the ancient Maya: a seated royal figure bearing remains of blue pigment; an abstract simian head with deep eye sockets and a spherical headdress; and an abstract mouth-shaped emblem with petite nodules protruding around the peripheries. Size of largest (seated figure): 1.625" L x 1.75" W x 2.8" H (4.1 cm x 4.4 cm x 7.1 cm)

Figure with loss to bottom of whistle mouthpiece on verso; simian face with small losses to peripheries and along neck line; and abstract mouth has small losses to verso. Each with light earthen deposits and minor softening to some finer details, otherwise in great condition.
