Description
Dabei: Ducati Sogno 6401.1 No. 8682 mit Vitor 1:2.8/35 mm No.33266 und Ledertasche.
After production of the Ducati Sogno and Simplex cameras had ceased around 1952 (produced by the Societa scientifica radio brevetti Ducati), Antonio Gatto, producer of the Sonne Leica copies, made an attempt to built a 35 mm full-format rangefinder coupled camera on the basis of the Ducati. The three offered prototype topplates, with major differences to the half frame Ducati models (round rangefinder windows, 24 x 36 mm viewfinder, space for an accessory shoe, etc.) are engraved with "Sonne C Germany Patent" and "Sonne V Germany Patent", one mounted on a Ducati Sogno shutter crate 6401.1 No. 06454. Definitely pieces from an interesting period of Italian camera history.
Included: Ducati Sogno 6401.1 No. 8682 with Vitor 35 mm f/2.8 No.33266 and leather case.
Serial Number: -
Production Year: ca. 1953
