Description

VICTORIAN ARMCHAIRS. Late 19th century, American. Each massive armchair profusely carved with foliate scrollwork. Back and seat covered in original burgundy velvet fabric. The solid acanthus leaf carved mahogany arms with scrolled flower blossoms. Chair is raised on scrolling backswept legs centering a carved shell in the apron. SIZE: 41" h x 31" w x 29" d. CONDITION: original surface with in use wear. Frames are solid and sturdy. Fabric is worn with damages. (05-739/TG). $1,000-2,000.
