AQUATIC SCENE. Late 19th century, China. It is serpentine but has appearance of green jade. The maiden with musical instrument posed next to an exotic bird perched on a clam beside a fish on storm tossed waves on a hardwood wave stand. SIZE: Overall 10 1/2" h x 9 1/2" w. PROVENANCE: From the John Webber Estate of Bangor, Maine. CONDITION: three dimensional carving is very good. (05-583/TG). $300-500.
