Celebrated Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey clown ALBERT WHITE (who was well-known by his nickname "FLO") was famous for his outrageous drag costumes over the years. He portrayed everything from a high-society dame to the frumpiest of wash-women, with the occasional island princess mixed in here and there. This particular two-piece sun-bather's outfit is comprised of a fake set of tea-strainer boobs and a frilly little pair of "coolots" just right for a day on the beach! This outfit was probably used while FLO was on the Clyde Beatty Circus, in the early 1960Õs. They were one of many costumes buried in one of his show trunks, which came from the ÒDiamond JimÓ Parker collection. One of the photos of White in drag frames out a similar Òstrainer-typeÓ set of boobs, for reference. Cond B/B-, with a couple of minor holes and tiny rust marks on the shorts (not really visible (under the green bow) from being safety-pinned decades earlier.
