Description
Well-known cartoonist RAY DIRGO, who drew Fred and Wilma Flintstone and other popular characters for the comic book trade, was an avid circus enthusiast. He published a book of his circus sketches, in addition to creating numerous logos and illustrations for various traveling circuses over the years. This lot includes an original pen and ink illustration that Dirgo created for a small indoor illusion show, THE WORLD OF MAGIC, along with the original rough layout pencil sketch, a couple of copy prints of the original art, and finally a specimen representing the finished product: silk-screened in red ink on a satin baseball-style jacket (size L). Cond A-/B-. Original artwork and sketch; copies are very good. Jacket is used, but VG, with no major wear.
