Description
A vintage Russian Soviet era lidded porcelain box of an oval form, decorated with transferware designs. The lid depicts a scene of the meeting of Tsar Gvidon and the Swan Princess, the sides are decorated with other scenes from The Tale of Tsar Saltan by Alexander Pushkin. On the lid there is the signature of the master of Palekh miniature painting Vladimir Vlezko. Inscribed in Russian, numbered 2639A, dated 1989. Russian Folk Art Collectibles, Desktop Accessories.
