Arpad Rosti (American, born Subotica, now Serbia, 1909-1999) Mid-Century Modern glazed ceramic Art Pottery sculpture, 1950s, signed "Rosti" to underside, additionally marked " R53+G14 / Tip 805Gi", the abstracted form glazed in pale blue, lilac, and cream. 14.75" H x 6" W x 5.25" D. Note: Ceramicist and enameler Arpad Rosti was educated in Prague and exhibited widely in the period after WWII. His works are in MoMA and the Newark Museum of Art, and in later life, he partnered with furniture maker Harvey Probber on a number of projects.
