**Originally Listed At $2000**

Ancient Near East, late Parthian to early Sasanian period, ca. 300 to 800 CE. An elegant pair of jars, each presenting a graceful silhouette with an ovoid body, a flared spout, and a pedestal foot, all meticulously incised with geometric and linear motifs. Four vertical lugs rise from the shoulders of each, all spaced equidistantly around the neck, while 2 bands of striped triangular motifs resembling feathers wrap around the shoulder and body of the vessel. Size of larger: 8.4" Diameter x 13.2" H (21.3 cm x 33.5 cm)

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report will accompany the item upon purchase.

Provenance: private Vero Beach, Florida, USA collection, acquired before 2003
