Exceptional Japanese Noh or Kyogen Mask, Edo Period 1603-1867. Illegibly signed to the rear, mask in characteristic expressive pose with life like detail depicting male figure seemingly angry or ready for combat in various pigments of red, white, black, and brown. These masks and those of this period were often dedications for ritual / temples and Japanese theatre. 8 1/2" H, on included custom stand 12 3/4" H
