two panel woven jacquard linen with repeating bands featuring eagle, star, and floral motifs, corner block signed "John / Wilden / Weaver / York / County / 1842 / Ladys / Fancy".

The invention of the jacquard loom in 1804 enabled weavers to easily incorporate figural designs and words into their work, and these looms were a precursor to modern computers.
